Steer Clear – Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Steer Clear (“the app”) is a game published by qkix (“we”). This policy explains what information is processed when you play it.
Information we collect
We do not ask for, collect or store any personal information on our own servers – we have none. There are no accounts of our own and no analytics run by us.
The app saves your scores, the top-10 records list, your coins, unlocked car paints, the selected paint and your sound/vibration settings in a file on your device. Copies of this progress can be kept by Google, only in your own Google account:
- Android backup – Android may include this file in your device backup to your Google account and restore it when you reinstall the app. You control this in your device settings (Settings → Google → Backup).
- Google Play Games – if you use Play Games on your device, the app signs in to it automatically and stores your progress (coins, unlocked paints, records) as a Play Games saved game, and submits your best score to the game's leaderboard, where other players can see it with your Play Games profile name. Google processes this under its privacy policy; you can manage or delete Play Games data in the Play Games app / your Google account.
Purchases (Google Play)
Optional in-app purchases (removing ads, a car paint pack) are processed entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details; the app only learns from Google Play which products your Google account owns, so they can be restored on reinstall or on a new device.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows a banner ad provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process information from your device, such as:
- device identifiers, including the Android advertising ID,
- your IP address and the approximate location derived from it,
- information about the app and the device (model, OS version, app version, crash and performance data),
- interactions with ads.
Google processes this information under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy, and explains how it uses data from partner apps here: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): before any ads are requested, the app shows Google’s consent form (User Messaging Platform). You can accept, refuse or choose purposes, and change your choice at any time with the PRIVACY button in the app’s menu.
You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new “Last updated” date.
